I'm a product designer who gets genuinely interested in how complex systems work, and even more interested in making them understandable to the people who depend on them. I work best on hard problems, across teams, where design shapes more than just the interface.
A multi-year programme bringing machine intelligence into Back Market's seller platform: automated pricing, an AI assistant, the Automation Spectrum, trust framework, and sequencing model that shaped every feature decision.
Back Market's Deals programme offered sellers reduced commission, but with no product surface, no margin context, and no way to self-evaluate, adoption was near zero. I designed three iterations of in-product decision support, each one earned by the signal the last one generated.
Sellers had stopped using the Back Office homepage entirely, bookmarking around it to reach Orders and Insights directly. I redesigned the content layer to answer a seller's first-90-seconds questions. By mid-2025, the #1 most visited page in the product.
Patients drift from their care plans when there's nothing connecting them between clinic visits. SoteriaMe was designed to close that gap: building the habits and trust that keep patients engaged with their treatment.
A framework for aligning teams on the user story before any design begins, and why plot point 4 is the one most teams skip.
Five questions I ask before opening Figma, because good execution of the wrong thing is still failure.
An Irishman in Berlin, ten years into a career that started in industrial design and found its home in digital. I took the long route, and I think it shows in how I approach problems.
I work best when I'm in early, close to the team, asking questions that probably should have been asked sooner. I'm good at finding common ground between disciplines and I care about getting teams aligned on what they're actually building before the design work begins.
Away from screens I'm usually behind a camera or training for some goal I've set myself. Persistently optimistic about both.
I care about working on things that leave people genuinely better off. If that's what you're building, I'd love to talk.
